State Police at Oneonta arrested 65-year-old Frank Popolizio of Schenectady and 26-year-old Corrinne Kindt of Esperance for Cruelty to Animals. Popolizio is the owner of South Side Stables of Oneonta, he was charged with 49 counts of Cruelty to Animals, Kindt was the manager of the stables, and she was charged with 7 counts of Cruelty to Animals. The arrests followed a month long investigation conducted by State Police & the Susquehanna SPCA, the defendants were arraigned and are scheduled to reappear in town of Worcester Court on March 6th.

State Senator Jim Seward of Milford has been named to 2 key senate budget sub-committees to review the governor’s budget proposal and offer recommendations for modifications. The Broome County sheriff’s deputies located 52-year-old Alan Smith of Kirkwood, who was reported missing Wednesday. Smith was located deceased, along with his vehicle, in the Town of Kirkwood, the sheriff’s department said that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Smith’s death, & an autopsy will be performed this afternoon.
